Biography Women's Empowerment Canada On-Line Magazine write up on Newfoundland Artist Allison Prior: Celebrating Women Through Paintings: Creatively driven, and emotionally charged, Allison Prior’s creative and original art has been described as "beautiful, uplifting and inspired" Prior studied various painting classes at M.U.N in St. John’s, Newfoundland , and also took acrylic painting lessons from Don Short, Also a member of the Art Association of Newfoundland and Labrador, attending workshops, and exhibiting her art to the public. This Raw Artist is a self-taught painter and sketcher, and while Prior has been creating art in various forms throughout her life it was not until 2007, that she started creating her art on a full-time basis. Prior has a diverse collection of paintings, and some of our favourites are her beautiful paintings of women and children, these paintings are full of brilliance and many diverse individuals within our communities. This tiger was painted on an 11 X 14 canvas board, using bristle brushes, sable brushes, and liner brushes, the colors used are, any yellow, brown, white, black, green. and Blue. you can use Cad Yellow,, Burnt Umber, Titanium white, Mars Black, and Sap green, and Ultramarine Blue. You can do the back round first with the blue and white, then draw the tiger, I have a template if you would like a copy just let me know.. You paint the black strips first, then add the orange mixed by yellow and red, on the body and hear, the shadow color red and brown mix, the eyes are green, and white for the face fir and whiskers.
